Hi, I’m Ksenia.
Cherry On Top started as a little dream of mine.
I’m an immigrant, and before moving to Alexandria I spent nine years in New York. While studying computer science in college, I worked in a coffee shop — and that’s really where all of this started.
How It Began
A vision that evolved
into something more.
I always wanted Cherry On Top to feel like more than just another coffee shop. I wanted it to become part of the neighborhood, a place people come back to, get to know each other, and make part of their routine.
Coffee was where the idea started, but I wanted the space to be more than that: wine in the evening, date nights, workshops, tastings, trivia, and events that bring people together.
That’s what I hope Cherry On Top becomes for Old Town.
Our Approach

Our coffee has a personal connection.
Our beans are roasted in New York by Antica Flora, founded by Fabrizio, my former coffee shop boss and the person who first taught me about coffee. Our profile is roasted every Tuesday, keeping Cherry On Top connected to where my coffee story began.
Built around community.
Every month, we try to bring people together through workshops, tastings, pop ups, and other events, often in collaboration with local small businesses and creatives.
A small team behind it all.
We’re a small business with a close knit team. We work really well together, know many of our regulars by name, and genuinely care about making Cherry On Top feel welcoming every day.
A little hidden from the rush.
Cherry On Top is tucked away just off King Street, with a private garden that feels removed from the busiest part of Old Town. It’s one of the things I love most about the space.
